CEO - Joe McMillen

Joe McMillen is CEO and Chairman of the Board. In this role he utilizes his technical expertise and his entrepreneurial vision to identify opportunities and establish direction. He is also a master of execution--quickly identifying and integrating key technologies and fulfilling his obligation of keeping Complex Drive two steps ahead of the competition.

Joe's management skills were honed at some of the nations largest, most respected companies: Avaya (Lucent Business Systems), Accenture, and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. He's no stranger to managing new technology ventures. Early in his career he helped define future broadband infrastructure requirements for Pacific Bell--a network that is now in place. Then in 1996, when the consumer Internet was still in its infancy, he launched the Internet's first commercial couponing application. He followed this success by pioneering Lucent Technology's Internet-based enterprise and network voice switching platforms. He received the VON Pioneer Award (Voice Over IP) and industry recognition for his work at Lucent.

Joe received his Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and his MBA in International Business from INSEAD. Prior to pursuing life in the fast world of technology, Joe lead an Apache helicopter squadron in combat as an officer in the U.S. Army. Although his personal motto remains, "Attack Life," he now does so on from his desk in sunny San Diego, rather than from a cockpit over the Middle-East.
